Greater Siouxland Soap Box Derby

Alright for all of you that are thinking about getting into Soap Box Derby we’ve got a great chance for your child to have the opportunity to win 1 free race. This means that we will pay the entry fee for one race all you have to do is come out and have all the fun! In an attempt to reach out to those new racers we will be holding a random drawing of those that respond that they want to enter their child. We will draw two names to receive a waiver for 1 free race at our May 30-31 rally....

For all of those that are looking to get into this great sport check back here later this week for a contest/drawing we will be holding. More details to come later this week you don't want to miss out on this!!!

Well the lines are back on the track so it's ready for some racers to head down it. Don't forget the rain gear it's been pretty wet around here lately. Also you may be running into quite a bit of construction coming up from the south so you may be sitting for a bit. If you are coming from North on I-29 there will be a detour at Vermillion due to preparing for the flood. Hope everyone has a safe trip over tomorrow or Saturday!

Our 3 race weekend is fast approaching, we are hoping that by the time everyone arrives our track will be boasting a new seal coat!!  We will post some pictures on here and facebook when the project is done. Hopefully the weather decides to cooperate one of these days as it looks like it may be a wet week and a half around here :/. Hope you all remember your rain gear so you don't get too wet!! This week we were able to participate in the RiverCade Days parade here in town. We got to show off some of the cars from our long time friends and sponsors Keizer Refrigeration and K&B Transport. We also got to show off some of our local talent from the track but this time they were champions of throwing candy and showing off the joy that this great sport gives them! Thanks to all involved in getting this float togethe...

We had a great weekend at the track with all of the families that came out to race in the last rally before heading out to Akron,OH. and Bowling Green,KY. Goodluck to all the racers going to world championships and nationals show them what kind of racers come from this area and bring home the hardware!!! Thanks to all that made it a memorable last weekend for Emily as she ages out next month!! Hope to see you all at our next rally August 25th and 26th!!!

We just finished putting a new coat of paint down on the lines so they all look amazing! Next weekend is our 3 race weekend and we will also be having a novice race on Sunday for kids that arent old enough to race in the other race. Hope to see you all at the track next weekend!!

Spread the word that or rally is coming up next month!! There will be a double and single on Saturday and a double on Sunday. There will be concessions available. Also there will be a $100 gift card awarded to the racer that travels the farthest distance in EACH division!! This is a great opportunity to make sure you have your 4 races in for nationals!!
